Dorothy Walsh Aylward, daughter of Mildred and William Ronaldson, Died November 2nd. Survivors include her husband Jack and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Portland Maine October 1934, in early years lived in Sioux City, Iowa. In Chicago she attended Lindbloom High School where she distinguished herself receiving more awards than any other student at that time.
She received her BA at Ripon College and Masters at Northern Illinois University. Dorothy taught and directed plays at Tresper Clark NY, Barrington IL, Winter Park FL, and Naperville Central High School where she was also a counselor and later Chair Person of the English Department. Among the volunteer work at St. John’s Winfield, she was President of the School Board and Parish Council. Dorothy was also part of the Aylward clan in their running of the Tally Ho and Round-Up restaurants.
Dorothy and Jack retired and moved to the Wyndemere community.
