Clarence Clove Exline
Clarence Clove Exline

December 20, 1942 - September 27, 2018
Resided in West Chicago, Illinois

It is with great sadness that the family of Clarence Clove Exline announces his passing at the age of 75 on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Clarence spent his youth and teen years in Wheaton and lived his entire adulthood until his passing in the house he built with his own hands located in West Chicago.
Clarence, fondly referred as "Red" to so many, was well respected due to him living his life honorably and working hard to overcome whatever obstacle he faced. He was always willing to help others whether they deserved it or not.
He was revered by so many in his trade at his skill, the beauty of his work, honesty, fairness and dedication.
If he promised that he would do something, he held to his word no matter how long it took. He expressed his opinions, allowed others to voice theirs(sometimes), but always looked for an opportunity to sway you to his side of thinking.
He was highly intelligent, knew something about everything and was willing to share(force) his knowledge to(on) anyone who would listen. He had so many hilarious and entertaining stories to share with family, friends and acquaintances. You just had to remember that when he said “To make a long story short” or “let me point out something to you”, that you just better take a seat and retrieve refreshments as there was no such thing as a “long story shortened” and there was going to be a whole verbal pin cushion full of points that he was going to share with you.
Over the last several years, his family had encouraged him to slow down, retire and relax, but he refused to do so and lived his remaining days the way he wanted to.
In one word he is "Unforgettable". His example of tenacity is second to none.
He will be forever missed by his son Joseph Exline, grandchildren Jeffrey Exline, Mackenzie Exline, and Meagan Exline. Forever missed by his daughter and son in law, Darlene (Exline) and Mark Kirk, grandchildren Jacob Kirk and Joslyn Kirk. He will be forever remembered by his sister Betty Mulroyan, brother Lester Exline and sister Carol Williams. He will be fondly remembered by all the people he touched throughout his lifetime as he was someone that could never be forgotten or replaced. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Sr. and Betty Exline, his Aunt Louise Haddon and a nephew John Williams. Visitation Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E.
