Betty Jean Palmer, age 95, beloved wife of the late Russell W. Palmer, loving mother of Brent A. Palmer, Deborah A. Palmer, Janice (John) Palmer-Kemmet and Arlene K. (Robert J.) Greenberg, cherished grandmother of John (Jennifer) Palmer and Kimberly (Darren) Swaney, great grandmother of Trevor, Marissa and Logan Swaney, great great grandmother of Grayson and Dylan, dear sister of George (the late Elizabeth Ann) Saxon, fond aunt of Jo Ellen (Phil) Mechatto. Betty Jean proudly attended Mississippi Southern College and studied chemistry. While attending college Betty met Russell and for a memorable first date they toured Russell’s Army Base in Hattesburg, Mississippi. Betty Jean loved to sing and was a longtime member of the Silvertones. She was an avid bowler. She worked in Government Research. Her life love and dedication was taking care of her children and was devoted to attending church throughout her life. Visitation Friday 9 AM until time of service 11 AM at Williams Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton. Interment Wheaton Cemetery.
