Abram “Abe” Rundell of Winfield, Illinois, passed away on July 31, 2018 in Galena, Illinois of natural causes.
Abe was born in Omaha Nebraska on March 10, 1937. He graduated from Central High School in Omaha Nebraska and continued on to receive a programing certification from IBM Programming School, Omaha Nebraska and a Bachelors of Arts from Roosevelt University.
Abe was married to Concordia “Connie” Crisostomo on June 5, 1965; they were married 53 years.
Abe served in the United States Army as an Intelligence Analyst 1957 to 1960 with Honorable Discharge. He was in many roles throughout his successful career: a computer programmer, an Industrial Engineer, Director of Hospital Management Engineering Systems, Associate of Finance Cook County Hospital, Director of Hospital Information Systems Cook County Hospital, Senior Systems Analyst Advocate Healthcare in which he retired in 2002.
He enjoyed most his family and travel with Connie. He was also actively involved with Connie in fundraising for St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish and the Knights of Columbus.
Abe is survived by Connie his spouse, his children Monica Rundell, Michael (Mary Jo Kinsella) Rundell, Michelle (Anthony Silvetti) Rundell, and Mark (Tracy) Rundell; his grandchildren David, Zachary, Christian, Jacob, Caleb, Quinn, Massimiliano, Isabella, Ethan, Ava, and Camden; nieces and nephews: Craig (Dori) Jacobs, Jill (Scott) Dunagan, Leo (Lisa) Crisostomo, Ibee (Michelle) Crisostomo, Adrian (Elaine) Crisostomo, Robert (Patty) Crisostomo, Paul (Mary) Crisostomo, Ralph (Jennifer) Crisostomo, Anna Claros, Jennifer Claros, Christina (Michael) Kraus and other beloved godchildren, family and friends.
Abe is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Rundell and Sylvia (Krecsefeld) Rundell, his sisters Ida Rundell and Kene (Rundell) Jacobs.
