Florence Elizabeth Nikolich, age 80, went into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday March 27, 2018. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She will be remembered by her family as the kindest woman they have ever known.
She was born on July 29, 1937 in Wheaton, Illinois to William and Emma Winthers, and was the youngest daughter of seven children. She graduated from Wheaton High School and was a lifelong resident of Wheaton.
She married Raymond Nikolich on November 3, 1956. It was a marriage filled with love that lasted 61 years. Together they had three sons.
Florence shared her love of cooking and baking with her family, and always had sweets and goodies to offer anyone who visited her home. She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and knitting. From the time of her birth until her passing, her beautiful smile touched the hearts of everyone that knew her.
She leaves behind her beloved husband; her children Jeff (Betty) Nikolich, John (Patty) Nikolich, and Jim (Melinda) Nikolich; her adoring grandchildren Jen, Jim, Dan, Jason, Brittany, Ryan, Casey and Cameron; her four great-grandchildren Tony, Jack, Jade, and Zebulon; and her siblings Irene Snyder, Arlene Ettner, Don (Mary Lou) Winthers, and Richard (Jeanette) Winthers. Florence is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother William Winthers, and sister LaVerne Welnicki.
A visitation will be held at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home in Wheaton, IL on Tuesday April 3, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm.
