Peter J. Borger, 70, a forty-four year resident of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away November 28, 2017. He was born on March 20, 1947 in Elmhurst, IL, where he was raised. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Elmhurst College (BA), National Louis University (MA), and Northern Illinois University (PhD).
He was a math teacher at Immaculate Conception, a computer programmer at DeMerritt Data Systems, a novelist, and short-story writer. He was a member of St. Petronille’s church, a frequent swimmer at the Glen Ellyn YMCA, and a regular coffee-drinker at the Denny’s on Schmale Road.
He is survived by his children, Alina Borger-Germann (David), Brian Borger (Megan), Brandy Bianco (Anthony) and his grandchildren: Josh Borger-Germann, Ben Borger-Germann, Brianna Borger, Andrew Borger, Isabellah Borger, Gianluca Bianco, and Dominic Bianco. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Berres, his brothers Robert Borger and Bill Borger, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation Sunday 11:00 until time of service 2:00 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Road Wheaton, IL 60187. Private interment at Assumption Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.aspca.org. Info @ www.williams-kampp.com.
