Obituary

Edmund W. Shaw, age 81, a resident of North Aurora, IL and formerly of Largo, FL, passed away May 12, 2017. Born February 16, 1936 in Wayne County, IL, he was raised there also. He was a 1954 graduate of Wayne City High School. He served in the United States Navy. In 1999, he retired from Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL. He is survived by his wife Gerie, of 43 years; his children, Tina (Bill) Ahlersmeyer, Amy (Geno) Turek, Lyn (Tom) Voth, and Cari Shaw; his grandchildren, Justin (Mallory), Jason, Billy, Kati, Cassie, Josh, Emma, and Alex; his great-grandchildren, Skyler and Baelynn; his daughter-in-law Jodi Shaw; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Burval (nee Wood) Shaw; his son Curtis Shaw; and his brothers, Lavern and Verschal Shaw. Memorial visitation Sunday, July 16th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL (1 blk. East of Naperville Rd.). Private burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the DuPage Care Center, 400 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187 or Seasons Hospice, 2195 Diehl Rd., Naperville, IL 60563
