Obituary

Frank J. DiLeo, Jr., 78, of Aurora, IL and Vero Beach, FL. Born February 23, 1934, went to the Lord February 7, 2013. "If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever."
Frank and his sister, Helen (Bilello, Toms River, NJ) were born in Newark, NJ to humble means to Frank and Rose DiLeo. But he left this world with an abundance and wealth of love from family, friends and all those who came into his life.
He graduated from Rutgers University in 1955 and met the love of his life, Filomena (Phyllis) Dominquez. They were married for 54 blessed years. They had two children, Deborah Ann Windisch of St. Charles, IL and Frank III of Chicago, IL., and two grandchildren, Ashley and Courtney Windisch of St. Charles.
Frank's business career was successful by any standard. After graduating from Rutgers he joined Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York as a sales representative. He also worked as a Chief Cost Accountant for Sea-Land Services, Controller for Ivers-Lee of New Jersey, Assistant Vice-President for Walter Kidde and Company while living and starting his family in NJ.
He then moved to Illinois with his family and his career path continued upwards as VP of Electrical Operation for Rockwell International, VP of Consumer Products for The Admiral Group, and served as President of Dynascan Corporation (Cobra Electronics) and Samsung Electronics America, Inc. He was a member of the National Association of Accountants and Financial Executives Institute and he served on the Board of Directors of Midwestern University for 38 years and Seaquay Condominium Association for 25 years.
Frank and Phyllis enjoyed traveling, golfing, going to the movies, attending their grandchildren's activities and spending time with their family and friends. They belonged to Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, IL and Vero Beach Country Club in Vero Beach, FL. For the past 27 years, they split their time between Aurora and Vero Beach. Frank was an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the Bears, but his heart was always with his favorite team, the New York Yankees.
His children and grandchildren will remember him as the rock of their life; the one who kept everything organized and guided with a firm, but loving hand. Frank always seemed to have his moral compass pointed in the right direction and was a true mentor and the ultimate role model for the family.
In addition to his children and grandchildren Frank is survived by his sister, Helen; brother-in-law Arturo (Dorothy) Dominquez Jr. of Lakeworth, FL; nephews Antonio (Courtney) Dominquez of Boyton Beach, FL and Carlos (Lisa) Dominquez of Lakeworth, FL; three great-nephews and one great-niece.
