Paul V. Smith, 54, of Palatine Illinois, passed away on January 28, 2013 with his family at his side. Fond nephew of Lawrence Smith of Callahan, FL.; beloved brother of Mary Pat (Bernie) Hengesbaugh, Curtis J. (Nancy) Smith, Joan (Larry) Zink, Donna (Mark) Longbrake; loving uncle of Jacqueline (Mark) Macenas, Brian (Mary-Louise) Hengesbaugh, Emory Zink, Essica Zink, Curtis Longbrake, and Victoria Smith; dear great-uncle of Jordan Morgan, and Ben Hengesbaugh. He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis A. and Dorothy E. Smith of Seymour, IN. Paul was a graduate of Seymour High School. He served in the Navy for 20 years, retiring from Puerto Rico. Paul also worked for Abbott Molecular Laboratory. Visitation Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (One blk. E. of Naperville Rd.) Wheaton. Funeral prayers 9:15 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home proceeding to Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church 480 S. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn. Inurnment Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans; 119 N. West St.; Wheaton, IL 60187.
