Michael David Shee, 26, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, January 20, 2013. He was pursuing his dream of becoming a chef while working at Pheasant Run as a sous chef. He was interested in varied and exotic cuisines and also talked about opening up a vegetarian restaurant. Mike was an accomplished cook who enjoyed preparing meals for his loving family. His lifelong love of animals was evident, starting with Gus, his pet iguana and thereafter with other lizards and animals. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved nature. He achieved Eagle Scout status and redesigned the rectory patio at St. John the Baptist for his project. Mike graduated from Marmion Academy in Aurora and attended Johnson and Wales University in Colorado. He is survived by his beloved family; parents, Donald and Gayle Shee, his sister Elizabeth (James) Stucker; his brother Douglas; grandparents, Walter and Nancy Wiborg and Parke Shee; nephews John and William; and aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ethel B. Shee. Visitation Tuesday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton (1 blk East of Naperville Rd.). Funeral home prayers Wednesday 10:15 a.m. and then to St. John the Baptist Church, Winfield. Mass 11:00 a.m. Entombment Assumption Cemetery.
