Jean F. Smith Claerhout nee Triggs, 83, a fifty-seven year resident of Wheaton passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home. She was born August 18, 1929 in Chicago where she was also raised. She graduated from Austin High School on Chicago's West Side. She was the Head Bookkeeper and Hostess for the Hamlet Restaurant in Carol Stream for many years and a Realtor with Century 21 Auble of Wheaton. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Claerhout; dear mother of Leland Smith, Margaret (Roy) Connell, Russell (Mary Kay) Smith, John (Patty) Smith, Jim (Linda) Smith and Nancy (Norman) Lehrer; fond step-mother of Michael (Elizabeth) and Susan Claerhout; cherished grandmother of 19; great-grandmother of 15; dear sister of Richard (Nancy) Triggs, Michael Triggs, Barbara Blank, Mary (John) Oreluk and the late Margaret Shiell and Edward Triggs; and loving aunt of many. Visitation Sunday, January 27th, 2013 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton (1 blk. East of Naperville Rd.). Funeral home prayers Monday, January 28th at 9:15 a.m. and then to St. Michael Church, Wheaton. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Michael Cemetery.
