Obituary

Ruth C. Wiesbrook, age 87, a lifelong resident of Glen Ellyn died December 11, 2012. She was born July 21, 1925 in Glen Ellyn and attended St. Petronille Grade School and Glenbard High School (class of 1943). She graduated as a registered nurse from St. Charles Hospital School of Nursing in Aurora in 1947, DePaul University of Chicago BSN, 1958 and DePaul University MDS in 1960. Ruth worked as a staff nurse at St. Charles Hospital, Cook County Hospital, General Rose Hospital, in Denver CO and Hines VA Hospital. She worked as head nurse at St. Charles Hospital and General Rose Hospital. She worked as a nursing instructor at St. Charles Hospital School of Nursing and Hines VA Hospital. She was assistant chief of nursing for education in Boston, St. Louis, Memphis, and Milwaukee. She retired back to Glen Ellyn. She is survived by eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Wiesbrook and her sister Edna Vessa. Memorial visitation will be from 9:15 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Petronille Church, Glen Ellyn. Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville. Arrangements by Williams-Kampp funeral home.
